Program and Grade Levels

Our school will begin small for our first year, offering K-8th grade only. In keeping with the philosophy of our school, the principals of ambition and motivation will be key to our success. Parents should expect their students to be pushed to be the best they can be, both academically, and personally. Our teachers will be invovled in not only their students' academics, but in their sense of belonging, and sense of self esteem.

Oxford Academy will follow the Dade County Public Schools Curriculum, and implement the state adopted textbooks. However, we understand that this is only the beginning. To supplement our student's education, we will also provide after school tutoring, technology related instruction at home that can be monitored by the teachers, and various field trips, in addition to a caring atmosphere.

Oxford Academy's teaching methods will rely heavily on various teaching strategies. We take the stand that the traditional lecture approach is not enough to engage our students in this day and age. Teachers are selected that employ various teaching strategies (i.e., Oral presentations, Projects, hands on lessons, computerized presentations, multimedia, group work, etc....)
